  2. Add the half onion that remains and fry until brown. Add ginger- garlic paste and fry well. Add green chillies, all the vegetables, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and saute well. Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, biryani masala. Mix well. Simultaneously keep 2 cups of water to boil in a separate pan. Now add the yogurt and saute well until it cooks and dries up.
  3. Add paneer cubes,half of the mint and coriander leaves, needed salt and sauté for some more time. Add the drained rice and evenly distribute the masala in the rice.Now transfer the biryani masala and the rice along with the boiling water to the rice cooker. Check for salt by tasting the water. Add the saffron milk, mint leaves, coriander leaves and close the cooker and put on rice mode. Once it comes to warm mode switch it off otherwise the bottom will get burnt.
  4. Open and garnish with fried onions, cashews and raisins and serve with raita
