Chicken momos is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Chicken momos is something which I’ve loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.
To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have chicken momos using 14 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Chicken momos:
- Make ready maida
- Get oil
- Take boneless chicken
- Get green chillies finely chopped
- Get medium onion finely chopped
- Get finely chopped green coriander leaves
- Take ginger paste
- Prepare garlic paste
- Prepare red chilli powder
- Take coriander powder
- Prepare cumin powder
- Get garam masala
- Take soya sauce
- Prepare Salt
The fillings for these momos are quite simple. Chicken Momos are lip-smacking savoury dumplings, a traditional dish originally from Tibet. It is also known as Dim sums, Chicken Dumplings, Baozi and is popular in most Asian countries. These chicken momos are a perfect alternative.
Steps to make Chicken momos:
- At first prepare the dough for momo cover. Mix Maida, pinch of salt and 2 tsp oil. Using hand crumble properly. Now add water slowly to knit a tight dough. Add 1/2 tsp oil. Fold it twice or thrice cover it with cling film or samp cloth for 30 minutes.
- Now for the filling preparation, grind the chicken pieces to a paste.Transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, soya sauce, salt, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, chopped green coriander leaves and mix well. Add 1 tsp oil and mix properly.
- Now it's time to make the momos. Take out the maida dough. Using hand fold it 2-3 times. Now divide into 12 small pieces. Take each piece and roll it into a poori shape, keep aside. Repeat until all the pieces are turned into poori shape.
- For Rose shaped momo: take 3 poori shaped pieces. Apply maida dust both the sides of the pieces. Now keep one pieces on a plate, from the centre of the piece, keep another one and the third one will be on the second one similar way. Now take some chicken mixture, add at the middle and vertically fold the three poori pieces together. Press properly so that the filling doesn't come out. Now from one side start folding and continue till the end of other edge.
- Add some water using finger at the edge to stick it properly.
- For the dumpling shape: take one piece of the poori, add chicken mixture at the centre. Fold it the way modak is prepared.
- Boil the water. On a steam basket grease some oil, keep the momos on high flame for 30 minutes. If you are making in rice cooker, then keep on cooking mode for 15-20 minutes.
